Security and Confidentiality
Portico Soft recognizes the security and confidentiality is our customer main
concern. Therefore we establish the following policy and process:

Policy
Information Privacy is the ability of an individual to control the use and
dissemination of information that relates to himself or herself.
Confidentiality is a tool for protecting privacy. Sensitive information is
accorded a confidential status that mandates specific controls, including
strict limitations on access and disclosure. These controls must be adhered to
by those handling the information. Security is all the safeguards in a
computer-based information system. Security protects both the system and the
information contained within it from unauthorized access and misuse, and
accidental damage. Security also includes training and policies--not just
technologies (i.e. fire walls and encryption).

Process
Organizational level, In most projects, it is possible to separate the software
and data - many of Portico Soft's clients follow this route, and we highly
recommend it. The model followed is that Portico Soft only deals with forms,
algorithms and fake data, and not with the actual trades or models. The final
testing and deployment and data population takes place on the client's premises
and is handled by internal staff. Technical Level, Confidential information may
be transmitted between Portico Soft and the client is taken to ensure the
security of this information: Sensitive data kept in US
Secure VPNs (virtual private networks)
Redundant servers and data storage (provided by Portico Soft by default)
Portico Soft's policies and infrastructure controlling employee actions.

Legal and other
Jurisdiction – Portico Soft is incorporated in California
NDA – Portico Soft has a standard NDA and is willing to discuss NDA terms. All
Portico Soft employees have a legal contract with an NDA clause
Insurance – Portico Soft has general liability insurance.
